Installing Jenkins on Centos 7

So guide how to get jenkins up and running on centos 7

1. First install it !

yum install -y wget
sudo wget -O /etc/yum.repos.d/jenkins.repo
sudo rpm --import
sudo yum install jenkins


2. Install java

 sudo yum install java-1.7.0-openjdk


3. Open firewall


firewall-cmd --zone=public --add-port=8080/tcp --permanent
firewall-cmd --reload


4. start it !

sudo /etc/init.d/jenkins restart
systemctl restart jenkins.service

one should work 🙂


5. Visit it http://ip-addre:8080

    Interestingly enough, this article is very similar to the one that I followed.
    So if anyone has Ubuntu like me and wants to install Jenkins, you can easily do that by following:
