Installing Jenkins on Centos 7

So guide how to get jenkins up and running on centos 7

1. First install it !

yum install -y wget
sudo wget -O /etc/yum.repos.d/jenkins.repo http://pkg.jenkins-ci.org/redhat/jenkins.repo
sudo rpm --import https://jenkins-ci.org/redhat/jenkins-ci.org.key
sudo yum install jenkins

 

2. Install java

 sudo yum install java-1.7.0-openjdk

 

3. Open firewall

 

firewall-cmd --zone=public --add-port=8080/tcp --permanent
firewall-cmd --reload

systemctl enable firewalld
systemctl start firewalld
systemctl status firewalld

 

4. start it !

sudo /etc/init.d/jenkins restart
systemctl restart jenkins.service

one should work 🙂

 

5. Visit it http://ip-addre:8080
